This bas-relief nativity is shaped as a Christmas tree. All figures are carved into the wood and then hand-painted using bright primary colors. The paint is lacquered to protect it.
The tree is divided in four sections. In the upper section the artist depicted a burning candle. The Holy Family fills the second section. The pointsettias, gifts and bells on the third section has and the village scene on the trunk brings the story into our world today.
